Refurbishment Photo Gallery
One of the photos taken for the "Schedule of Condition" addendum to the lease. So this was the raw material before we got our hands on it. The lease was signed on 16 July 2021.
Another of the "Schedule of Condition" photos... and the condition wasn't great.
A rare image of a very full loch. The water level is above the first gabion basket, and is the reason why that gabion was so badly eroded and had to be butressed. It also shows the foliage that just had to go...
The first gabion, showing the loss of structure impending collapse.
Another view of the degraded first layer of gabion baskets.
The original kitchen. The ceiling has collapsed due to water damage from the first burst pipe.
The original toilet. Not quite "Trainspotting", but heading in that direction.
The utility room. The black mould on the wall developed in the damp plasterboard resulting from the second burst pipe.
No doubt once a bustling hive of fishy endeavours. Now all we can hear is the faint echo of a dial-up modem's training sequence.
Just inside the double doors of the feedstore part, featuring the timeless appeal of green painted OSB.
That second burst pipe really didn't do the building any favours
The "Bash and BBQ" crew clearing demolition debris.
David inspects the unsavoury underside of the toilet floor.
Mark and Brian manage the skip filling while Colin "supervises".
The aftermath of the exterior clearance work.
Group photo of the "Bash and BBQ" strip-out volunteers.
The barbeque meisters are ready to serve the hungry workers.
Lots of lovely nosh and a well deserved break... even if it was pouring down.
The hut stripped back to its shell, just awaiting building warrant before we can put it all back together again.
