👀Looking ahead

The SCIO has a Trustee board meeting on 4th November, the Community Council firework team is getting prepped for the 5th November, DMG Catering has the fab chippy trailer down at the Jetty Hut from 5pm on 6th November and that's also Quiz night.  Aileen has put a shout out to anyone who fancies trying needle felting on Sunday 8th November. A lot is going on next week and thank you everyone who gets involved either with volunteering and taking part.👏

The Glenfinnan Education, Music and Sport (GEMS) awards

This is a small grants scheme to provide support for individuals involved in educational, artistic or sporting endeavours who have identified a need for specific financial support to further their development. It is available to permanent residents of the Glenfinnan Community Council area.

Applications might, for example, be for funds to attend a course, or to purchase equipment (eg sports kit, dance shoes, an instrument) - it is up to applicants to set out how an award would benefit them. It is open to adults and children alike. For children under 16 the application may be made on their behalf by a parent or guardian.

For full details, and before applying, please read the GCF SCIO Grants Scheme Guidelines where you will also find a link to the GEMS Application form 2026.

We really look forward to seeing how this scheme is used to enhance the endeavours of members of our community!
