Are you over 50? Want to get fitter and stronger?


As we age, we lose muscular strength due to reduced levels of muscle mass. Strength training helps to build bone density, build Muscle mass, improve mental health and lowers the risk of chronic diseases like Arthritis, Osteoporosis and Back pain. It also helps us to maintain our independence with our day to day tasks.


I will be offering a weekly class in the Jetty Hut, which will consist of a 40-45 minute gentle workout using body weight exercises, 1kg Dumbbells and 3kg kettlebells for added challenge.


It will mainly be for the over 50’s but no-one is going to throw you out if you are a bit younger! It’s not aimed for people who use the Gym regularly, go cycling or running or have a six-pack!, however you would be more than welcome to attend.


There is no upper age limit but if you have chronic medical conditions this class may not be suitable.


Why not give it a go, it’s never too late to start!!??


There will be an initial 4 week block, starting on Tuesday 4th October @3.00pm so you can find out if you like it or not. It is restricted to maximum of 6 people, due to space needed. If there are more than 6 interested, I may offer 2 classes each week. It is free for you to attend if you are a Glenfinnan Resident. All you need to bring with you is your own exercise mat and Water!
